I shot my last wedding of the year last Saturday and this week I've mostly been editing and reflecting on what an incredible year it's been. I'll be doing a blog post before the years out but in the meantime I want to share this amazing wedding with you. I have so many weddings to blog from this year. But this winter wedding is possibly the one I'm most proud of - the light was tough, it rained all day but I couldn't be happier with this set of images. I think what makes them is Ebba's amazing smile. It didn't come off her face all day and her happiness is infectious! Just looking at these images makes my heart sing.
This is my favourite type of wedding - no expensive frills, down to earth and a couple just so clearly in love.
Despite the rain hammering down, Ebba insisted we all get the 37 from their flat to Wandsworth Town Hall. She was an absolute picture on the bus in the dress her and her mum made (yep, you heard that right!), her red heels and her mile wide red lipped grin - I loved her for it, she looked like a movie star! Ebba is Swedish so it's not customary for her to not see her groom beforehand so her and John spent the morning together - I say that, Ebba got pampered while John went out for sandwiches and sushi!
They were married in the amazing council room at Wandsworth Town Hall - a huge red room with a high ceiling and circular seating. A hired bus took them and their guests to a Leon restaurant in St Pauls - I love Leon so this got a massive thumbs up from me. Not only do they do amazing wholesome food the buildings are so airy with their exposed brickwork and light walls.
Popcorn kept the guests happy before their amazing feast was served, throughout which there were speeches from pretty much everyone - a Swedish tradition!
Massive congratulations to Ebba & John and hats off to you for pouring yourselves into your day, resulting in an absolutely amazing wedding x
